Bobby Caldwell News

You may have caught one of Bobby's shows on the east coast, west coast or somewhere in the middle, or maybe even over in Japan.  Bobby has had a lot of fun this year bringing his music, and sense of humor to his wonderful fans.

Bobby introduced a brand new show at Billboard Live in Japan.  The entire set list was comprised of songs written by Bobby, save for his traditional encore rendition of "At Last".  The crowd loved it when Bobby belted out "What Kind of Man Would I Be", a song he co-wrote for the Chicago 19 album.  What a great tune!

One night at Billboard Live in Tokyo Bobby and the audience were treated to a special guest performance by Elliott Yamin.  You may recall that Elliott performed "What You Won't Do for Love" in the final 3 round of American Idol 2006.  Bobby invited Elliott to the stage that night in Tokyo and Elliott delivered a stellar rendition of WYWDFL!  It was a blast!

Bobby will be home for the holidays, but he has one more show this year in his home state, New Jersey.  On December 13th he will appear at The Bergen PAC with the legendary Ashford and Simpson.

Meanwhile, Bobby is gearing up for some new shows with his big band, and his "unplugged" show.  In fact, you can see the first big band performance on January 10th at Centenary College, Hackettstown, NJ.  Bobby is really looking forward to bringing his big band show to his neighborhood.  His home is a stone's throw away from the college.  Please join Bobby, the band, his family, friends and neighbors at this event.  Not only will you enjoy yourself, you will be supporting the arts program at Centenary.

Later in January, Bobby will head west to his other hometown, San Diego.  He will be at a great new club called, Anthology on January 30th and 31st.  This show is called, "Unplugged".  It's totally new, and totally up close and personal.  Bobby is planning on having a lot of fun with this show.

On Valentine's weekend, February 13th and 14th Bobby will take his R&B show to Scullers in Boston.  As always, Bobby will enjoy the Boston crowd and the great vibe at Scullers.

The following week Bobby will take his big band show to the fabulous BIRDLAND jazz club in New York City.  There will be two shows each night on February 18th, 19th, 20th and 21stBobby is absolutely thrilled about this run!  He is hoping to see all of you there.  Tickets are not on sale yet, but please stay tuned to www.bobbycaldwell.com for more details.
