Wow, it's finally Springtime! I have spent many hours sunbathing in the yard, but everyone else has been very busy. Our farm house is being renovated and it is a big project. I can't wait until it's done because I am getting my own room with a nice new bed.
Bobby has been home for a few weeks to spend time with the builder and architect. He's choosing all kinds of flooring, appliances, and other stuff for the new house. I am eager to sample his work in the new kitchen.
Back in March, Bobby went to his home town, Miami. He played "Jazz in the Gardens" at Dolphin Stadium. He also did a morning TV spot for NBC. While he was there he met up with a number of old friends. One of them shared the photo from 1966. I posted it on the News page. Can you find Bobby in the photo?
Bobby also joined his friends, Jason Miles, Walter Beasley and Chieli Minucci in "A Tribute to Marvin Gaye and Motown". They have a lot of fun when they get together.
The family went to The Kentucky Derby this year. They love horses, and enjoy going to the track. Their friends took them to the backstretch to see the stables and meet some of the horses. Churchill Downs is a big place! 157,000 people went to see the big race. What fun! I posted some photos from their trip. Check them out.
Bobby's vacation was fun, but he'll hit the stage again on June 27th aboard The CD101.9 Smooth Cruise in NYC. I wish I could go, but no bulldogs are allowed.
In July he's off to California, Colorado and Georgia. Please check out the Tour Dates page. Hope you can make it to a show.
